Symptom

An task titled "Release Failed: Review and Release Project Invoice Request" was assigned to an employee who is not responsible for the associated project.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Proceed to the Business Task Management view.
  3. Search for the task "Release Failed: Review and release Project Invoice Request X". ( 'X' is project invoice request ID)
  4. Click on the task icon to view the details.
  5. The processor for the task is displayed.

Cause

The task assignment is determined based on the organizational unit of the Business Object (BO), in this case, the CPIR. Despite the employee not being associated with the relevant organizational unit of the CPIR or Project, they were assigned the task due to their assignment to the Project Management work center.

Resolution

This is a standard system behavior.
