3559632 - DR_admin Account locked by ASE due to failed login attempts reaching max failed logins - SAP RS

Symptom

  • RMA command "sap_status path" shows HADR path is unknown.

     Site1.Site2.<sid>    State                     Unknown                 Path state cannot be determined.

  • ASE command "sp_displaylogin DR_admin" shows DR_admin is getting locked.


    Locked: YES
            Date when locked: Dec 29 2024  6:39AM
            Reason: Account locked by ASE due to failed login attempts reaching max failed logins
            Locking suid: DR_admin


  • Followed the step in KBA 2134321 to set DR_admin unexpired, but issue persists.

  • Checking secure area via saphostctrl command with "TASK=VALIDATE_SEC_STORES" option it says DR_ADMIN is not maintained.

    GLOBAL_DR_ADMIN=invalid
    LOCAL_DR_ADMIN=not found
