3559673 - Special user name which contains special national characters e.g. "ß" can't logon with Basic Authentication.

Symptom

  • An issue arises when attempting to log in using Basic Authentication in the system for testing e.g., ODATA or SOAP services.
  • The issue appears to be user-dependent, with certain users unable to authenticate.
  • Specifically, users with special national characters, such as "ß", in their usernames or passwords are unable to authenticate.
  • When attempting to authenticate, the system returns an HTTP error 401, despite correct login data.
  • The system delivers an HTML page with the text "401 Not authorized" and denies access.
