Symptom

There is an exception "Safety Stock Violation" in product planning when total net requirement is zero.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to work center Supply Planning.
  2. Access view Exceptions - Products.
  3. Search product ABC in planning area DEF, there is an exception "Safety Stock Violation".
  4. In the same work center, access view Products.
  5. Search product ABC in planning area DEF, total net requirement is zero.

ABC represents product ID.

DEF represents planning area ID.

Cause

Exception "Safety Stock Violation" displays when current available stock is below safety stock.

Resolution

This exception is a reminder. It can be either acknowledged or ignored.
