3560354 - Unable to preview Customer Statement in Create Correspondence App

Symptom

In the Create Correspondence app, an error message "A technical error has occurred. Please try again later." is displayed when attempting to view the preview of a customer statement.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Create Correspondence" app.
  2. Enter the following values:
    1. Company Code: XX
    2. Correspondence: SAPXX
    3. Customer: YYYYYYY
    4. Postings From: DD/MM/YYYY
    5. Postings To: DD/MM/YYYY
  3. Click on "Preview".
  4. The error message "A technical error has occurred. Please try again later." will be encountered.

Resolution

  1. Try opening the application in a different web browser and repeat the steps.
  2. Clear the browser cache and cookies as they might interfere with rendering PDFs properly.
    This can be done by following the steps provided in this link: Troubleshooting Chrome PDF Viewer
  3. If the issue persists, try to reproduce the error by selecting Print instead of Preview.
  4. Then open the app Display Correspondence History and find your record. Check if the preview PDF is available.
