Symptom
- During Rehire on Old Employment process, when rehiring an employee with a new first/last name, the old first/last name is displayed in the I-9 DocuSign signature.
- The name field on the I-9 form displays the correct new first/last name, but the signature reflects the old first/last name.
- The issue only occurs to I-9 form.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Initiate the Rehire on Old Employment process for a candidate with a new first/last name.
- Complete the I-9 form Section 1.
- Observe that the signature displays the old name.
Cause
A rehire process is initiated with a start date prior to the date of the name change.
The I-9 process initiates the DocuSign signature and picks the recipient signature name as of the start date of the onboarding process. However, the name change takes effect after this date.
Resolution
The issue will be corrected in the 1H 2025 (b2505) Release. Release dates can be found on SAP SuccessFactors Product Release & Road Map Information.
Workaround
As a workaround, specify the effective start date for the name change to be the same as the onboarding process start date.
