3561336 - Upgrade Continues After Tenant Refresh

Symptom

  • After a tenant refresh from the production system, the upgrade is still running.
  • This prevents changes to some code list mapping.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Perform a tenant refresh from the production system and wait until the refresh is fully completed
  2. Access Business Configuration work center
  3. Select Overview
  4. Find message: The selected implementation project requires an upgrade. This might take a while to finish. Please be patient until the process is finished. You can close this screen and come back later.
    Upgrade in Progress... 

Note:.

  • This can happen even days after the tenant has been refreshed
  • This can happen while no implementation project is specifically selected (only closed projects are available).

Cause

The issue may indicate an inconsistent backend situation.

Resolution

Create an SAP Support case to check and correct the situation.
