3561600 - Error in Identity Provisioning: "Provided value is not part of 'userType' canonical values"

Symptom

  • Provisioning users from SF to IAS( ias.api.version=2) via IPS results in an error. 
     error=HTTP operation failed invoking https://<IAS tenant>/scim/Users/XXX with statusCode: 400, Response: {"schemas":["urn:ietf:params:scim:api:messages:2.0:Error"],"status":"400","detail":"Provided value is not part of 'userType' canonical values","scimType":"invalidValue"},
  • The payload shows that the value of 'userType' is set to upper case, for example, "EMPLOYEE".
