3562251 - ABAP CDS extraction: Simulation run is still trying to fetch ALL data from source CDS

Symptom

  • A CDS view is defined with annotation delta.byElement (not changeDataCapture)
  • A DTP was started with processing mode 'No Data Transfer; Delta Status in Source: Fetched', but the extraction job in the source S/4HANA system is still trying the fetch ALL data from the source CDS view.
  • It behaves like an 'Initialization with Data transfer'.
  • ODQR extraction job ends with '_S' (means it was started as a simulation run) and the log shows message below:
    • Extraction is starting: Extraction mode 'S'
    • Delta interval for extractor: 0 < TSN <= {2025-01-19 12:16:35 000018}  /* -- still tries to get all historical data, just like an Init with Data Transfer */
