3562497 - Measures not applied when using linked analysis in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

When selecting an individual measure in a bar chart, the measure is not used to filter when using Linked Analysis in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.21.11

Reproducing the Issue

In an SAC story insert two or more charts one being a bar chart
In the bar chart add multiple measures under account to make it a stacked bar chart
Add linked analysis with any settings
Notice when selecting a measure in a bar of the chart the second chart is filtered only at the dimension level

Cause

This is by-design
Linked analysis happens at the dimension level
Linked analysis is made to drill through hierarchical data which is at the dimension level
Linked analysis follows the same guidance as documented in the online documentation for chart filters: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_ANALYTICS_CLOUD/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/7641cd13fcd34f93b704e045c2c8e222.html?q=chart+filtering

Resolution

This is working as expected
Stacked dimensions can be used for more detailed filtering and linked analysis if need be
