3562861 - Talent Intelligence Hub predefined tags can't be changed

Symptom

Can we change the label for the predefined tags (core, critical, trending) via file import following the Integration Center procedure?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Talent Intelligence Hub
  2. Click Tags 
  3. Change the predefined tag name such as Core to a different one
  4. The error is displayed "Error System tag in external id Trending cannot be created or updated"

Resolution

Per the Implementation guide Creating a Tag this behaviour is expected as the pre-defined tags cannot be modified - neither their label nor their status.

However, currently it is possible to import new tag labels via Integration Center import procedure and no error will be displayed.

Please note that this change is not recommended, because starting from 1H 2025 release standard predefined tags' (core, critical, trending) translations are planned to be applied to these 3 tags, also a new import validation will be introduced that will not allow to import custom predefined tags labels.

It is recommended that all the changed predefined tags labels will be reverted to the standard labels before the 1H 2025 release.
