3563584 - Error: "Item XX: City in address of ABC party missing"

Symptom

The error "Item XX: City in address of ABC party missing (KBA: 2738172)" is displayed on a Sales Document even though the Address is already correctly maintained on the Involved parties tab (Where XX represents the line of the item and ABC represents the party for which the City is missing).

In this documentation, a Sales Order will be used as the example.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

Navigate to the Sales Orders workcenter.
Go to the Sales Orders view.
Search for the ID XYZ (Where XYZ represents the Sales Order ID).
Click on Edit.
Click on View All.

The message "Item XX: City in address of Service Recipient party missing (KBA: 2738172)" is displayed.

Cause

At the time of the Sales Orders creation, the address of the relevant party role did not have a City maintained.

After the Items were added to the document, the address was corrected. However the change was not carried over to the items, and the city is still not maintained correctly for the party role ABC on Item level.

Resolution

Navigate to the Sales Orders workcenter.
Go to the Sales Orders view.
Search for the ID XYZ.
Click on Edit.
Click on View All.
Go to the Items tab.
Select line item XX.
On the Details sub tab, under party ABC section, there is no city on the address data. Click on Address Details.
On the City field, enter a valid City name.
Save the document.

Now, the error messages should be cleared.
