3563996 - Termination Event Updating Historical Recurring Deduction Records

Symptom

When performing a termination historical recurring deduction records are also updated.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a termination event in the system
  2. Terminate one user and observe that the termination event triggers updates historical recurring deduction records

Resolution

When a user is terminated benefits creates a new time slice with empty pay components and also corrects the end dates of pay components in all the previous time slices to the new end date.

This is expected from deductions side. If the system only creates the new timeslice and leave the others untouched those time slices would show wrong end dates which can lead to data consistency problems for those who access those old time slices.
