3564181 - Internal Server Error 500 occurs while trying to view/edit the VAT return ID

System crashes while trying to View/Edit the relevant VAT return under the Tax Management work center.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Tax Management work center.
2. Open the VAT Returns sub view.
3. Select the relevant VAT return ID and give view/edit.
4. The system crashes.

The issue arises due to the absence of a maintained subsidiary company name under the company tax arrangement for the Tax Authority maintained in the relevant VAT return ID.

When the system checks for the subsidiary company, it does not find any and leading to an internal server error.

Follow below mentioned steps to clear the internal server error,

1. Go to the Tax Management work center
2. Go to the VAT return sub view.
3. Search for the relevant VAT return ID and select the Tax Authority.
4. Navigate to the company tax arrangement tab under the Tax Authority.
5. Check for the company in the Subsidiaries sub tab.
6. If the subsidiary company name is not maintained, either maintain the company or delete the row under Subsidiaries.
7. Now VAT return ID becomes editable without any internal server error.
