Symptom
On Opportunities, when searching by Sales Order in Advanced Search with the Exclude condition "Is Initial", not all results are showing as expected.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Sales > Opportunities.
- On Sales Order column (if not shown enable via adaptation) - sort by descending.
- Sales Orders with number or description will be displayed.
- Now click on advanced search.
- On Sales Order field, search for any ID number.
- It will find X Sales Orders (where X is the number of objects).
- Now click on the 'more options' button in the right side of Sales Order field.
- Reset the Include.
- Expand the Exclude and select condition 'Is Initial' and save.
- Click on Go.
- Only some Sales Orders with description will be displayed. While it should show all Sales Orders with either description or number maintained.
Cause
By selecting the initial option in the Exclude filter, it removes any Sales Order(s) that are not yet finalized. This is why only a few Sales Orders will be shown, because all of them are in a finalized state.
Resolution
The filter is working as intended based on the Sales Order status. This is the expected system behavior.
However, for a different behavior on this, please raise a request in the Influence Site. This is the channel to approach the product management team directly. The feasibility of the request will be evaluated to check whether this can be implemented in a next release or not.
