3564956 - Clock In Clock Out Employee Synchronization does not process employees

Symptom

One of the following symptoms is observed:

1. When running a synchronization via the Check Tool or Manage Data, no employees are processed

2. Employees are not automatically synchronized to Clock In Clock Out when hired via Onboarding

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking
  • Clock In Clock Out

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario 1)

  1. Go to Manage Data
  2. Open the object Clock In Clock Out Employee Full Synchronisation Details: EMPLOYEE_SYNC_CONFIGURATION (EMPLOYEE_SYNC_CONFIGURATION)
  3. Set 'Trigger Full Synchronisation' to 'Yes' and Save
  4. 'Number of Employees Synchronised' stays at 0

Scenario 2)

  1. Hire an employee via Manage Pending Hires
  2. Observe that the employee is unable to record time via Quick Action or create time events on Time Sheet UI

Cause

The issue is caused by incorrect configuration:

  • Custom subobjects are configured under the Job Information (jobInfo) base object.
  • The HRIS field "time-event-type-group-id" is added only within these custom subobjects.
  • The HRIS field "time-event-type-group-id" is missing from the main jobInfo base object.

The CICO automatic synchronization does not work when this field is configured within custom jobInfo subobjects. This field must be configured exclusively in the base Job Information (jobInfo) object and not in any custom or localized jobInfo subobjects.

Resolution

Expected configuration:

Steps to resolve:

  1. Go to Manage Business Configuration.
  2. Navigate to the jobInfo object.
  3. Review all localized jobInfo objects (e.g., jobInfo_ARE, jobInfo_ARG, etc.) and remove existing entries for the field "time-event-type-group-id".
  4. Verify that the field "time-event-type-group-id" is correctly configured in the base jobInfo object.
  5. Save the changes.

After correcting the configuration, please trigger a synchronization to ensure that affected employees are processed successfully.

Any future new hires will be automatically synchronized to CICO.
