3564985 - Component Scrap Field in 'Manage Product Master Data' App Is Not Available In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Symptom

  • Unable to find the 'Component Scrap' field in the 'Manage Product Master Data' app.
  • Not available to add the 'Component Scrap' field by using Adapt UI the field.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open 'Manage Product Master Data' app.
  2. Hit 'Create'.
  3. Enter 'Product Number', 'Base Unit of Measure', 'Product Type', and 'Description'.
  4. Hit 'OK'.
  5. Hit 'Plants' tab and then 'Create'.
  6. Navigate to 'MRP Data' section.
  7. No 'Component Scrap(%)' field.
  8. Navigate to 'Profile Icon' and select 'Adapt UI'.
  9. Right Click on the open space in the 'MRP Data' section and click 'Add: Field'.
  10. Search for 'Component Scrap' field.

Resolution

  • The Component Scrap field is not available in the Manage Product Master Data app due to a leaner app concept in S/4HANA Cloud, thus not all fields of Create Material/Change Material/Display Material will be available in Fiori UI by default.
  • The Component Scrap field cannot be added as a standard field via the Adapt UI in the Manage Product Master Data app but can still be managed in the Create Material/Change Material/Display Material apps under the 'BOM Explosion/ Dependent Requirements' section in the 'MRP 4' view.
  • A feature request will need to be raised and consider checking the customer influence portal for voting or submitting new ideas about this functionality.
