3565322 - Error when using the HDBSQL client from command line using a password with special characters in csh

Symptom

You're using the HDBSQL client in the C Shell (csh) with the -p switch (password given on command line)

and receive errors such as:

  • 10: authentication failed SQLSTATE: 28000 
  • Variable name must contain alphanumeric characters.
  • Illegal variable name
