Symptom
- In the Docusign integration with SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, the system allows candidates to sign in the manager's signature field.
- The issue occurs because the signature field in the PDF has a suffix + a number (e.g. DocuSignSignHere1) to identify the manager's signature, but the system does not respect this notation.
- This issue is not limited to specific onboarding forms and can occur across all forms.
- The issue can reappear even after re-building and re-uploading the same PDF files into the system.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Kindly log in as the admin.
- Navigate to the Onboarding Dashboard.
- Search for the candidate.
- Go to Actions > Onboarding Documents.
- You will notice that the candidate is able to sign in the manager's e-signature field.
Cause
A signature field is using a suffix in DocuSignSignHere for the signature and DocuSignDateSigned, rather than adding a prefix.
Resolution
- A signature field should use a prefix in DocuSignSignHere for the signature and DocuSignDateSigned, rather than using a suffix.
- The field name should follow a format such as XYZDocuSignSignHere, where 'XYZ' can be any appropriate prefix, such as ManagerDocuSignSignHere or OnboardeeDocuSignSignHere
