3566451 - Issue with Updating Rates for Life Events in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

For 2024 life events using the new enrollment UI, the rate is not updating regardless of the incentives (smoking/health check) chosen.

1. Go to the employee profile
2. Manage benefits
3. Update the options of the user/dependents
4. The rates won’t change no matter what incentives are chosen

The system is reading smoking and health check for the employee from the previous time slice of 'Benefit Employee Profile' and not the latest time slice.

Engineering team is planning to deliver this in the 2H 2025 release (Preview October 13th and Production November 14th). You can keep track of the update with your CSP/CEE using the code BEN-18449.

As a workaround, we have provided the flexibility to make the smoking and health check fields editable in the object definition. Insert a past time slice (time slice date before effective date of enrollment) and update smoking and health check.
