Symptom

  • Duplicate emails are being sent to approvers when a return order is created using the 'Manage customer returns- v2' app.
  • Rework email notifications are not being triggered for credit memo requests and return order approvals.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a return order using 'Manage customer returns- v2' app. This triggers two emails to notify the approvers.
  2. Create a return order using 'Manage customer returns- v2' app and request rework using 'My inbox' app. This does not trigger an email to notify the processor who created the document about the rework.

Cause

The issue arises due to the absence of an email notification step configured for Rework Requests in the workflow.

Resolution

  1. Open the Manage Sales Document Workflows app.
  2. Locate the Credit Memo Request workflow that is currently active.
  3. Edit the workflow and navigate to the "Rework Requested" section.
  4. Add a new "Send Mail Notification" step.
  5. Select the correct email template for rework notifications.
  6. Set the recipient as the original document processor so they receive the email.
  7. Save and activate the updated workflow.
  8. Test the fix by triggering a new rework request and verify that an email is received.
