3566540 - Connection to OData datastore fails in SAP Cloud Integration for data services

The Test Connection button returns an error when trying to test the connection to an OData datastore in CI-DS with one of the following messages:

com.acta.adapter.sdk.AdapterException: Unable to connect to <OData_URL>. Error : Unable to connect to <OData_URL>. Error : IOException in connect Error : sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested targetjavax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

OR

Test failed for the default configuration '<>' of datastore: '<>':
