3566594 - Position from the Host Profile is removed when creating a Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment - Employee Central

After creating a new Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment, the Position from the main profile is being removed.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to Employee Profile;
2. Click on Actions > Add: Higher Duty or Temporary Assignment;
3. Select Event Reason, Hire Date, New Assignment Company and Hire Date;
4. Select a Position and Responsibility type: Full Responsibility;
5. Fill all other required fields > Save;
6. Go back to the nominal profile;
7. You observe the Position has been removed.

Employee is being assigned to their manager Position as Full Responsibility.

When a nominal assignment's Higher Duty takes place to direct one-step above position, then this scenario is called Same Hierarchy Full Responsibility Higher Duty. This action generates Position unassignment when creating Higher Duty and after deleting HD the Position is reassigned.  

When the nominal employee occupies his manager's Position as a Full Responsibility Higher Duty, the Position of the nominal employment now reports to the Higher Duty Position. Since a person cannot report to himself, the Position for the nominal employment is unassigned. The position will get reassigned once the Higher Duty is deleted.
