3566686 - The component's requirement quantity of a production order/planned order is unexpected according to the strategy defined in the alternative group in the BOM

You have maintained the alternative items in the product BOM for the components. However, after a production order/planned order is created for the product, the components allocation doesn't follow the strategy maintained in the alternative group.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a BOM for the product.
2. In the BOM, maintain the alternative data for the components.
3. Create a production/planned order for the product.
4. Check the components requirement quantity in the order, it cannot explained according to the strategy maintained in the alternative data.

ATP check is not carried out for the order components.
To make the alternative items work, the ATP check is a prerequisite. 

Carry out the ATP check for the production/planned order, then the component requirement quantity will be updated as expected.
