Symptom
- Sales orders confirmed via forced confirmation are not included in the Confirmation Update Runs.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Outbound Logistics Control work center.
- Go to Automated Actions -> Confirmation Update runs view.
- Search for the required Run ID.
- Execute the run.
- Check the logs in the application log ID.
- Notice the absence of the sales order which is being confirmed via forced confirmation.
Cause
When a forced confirmation is manually executed, it is considered important and no further update is required as it has already reached for execution for the next step. Therefore, forced confirmations are not included in confirmation update runs.
Resolution
Forced confirmation can be reset by canceling the confirmation or by checking the availability for the customer demand again.
Note that the forced confirmations are not included in confirmation update runs. This is expected system behavior.
