• Unable to view story data or select filter members using custom role in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• When selecting parent member of a dimension in the story filter, the users aren't able to see the story data or select anything from filter

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2024.21.11 

1. Login to the SAC tenant with custom role
2. Open the story 
3. Notice that no data is visible in the story table and no option available for selection in the filter.
   Note: If All members from the filter are selected and then story is shared with affected user, notice that the story data is visible.

• Hide parent is enabled hence users only have access to grandchildren in the hierarchy and not the parent node.
• If in story a filter is defined on its parent, and the user only has access to the child, they won't be able to see the data in the story as they are not allowed to see which nodes are below the parent node.

Either disable use hide parent
OR
If you use the feature to hide parents, then do not set story filters on hierarchical nodes of that parent node.
