3567027 - Inconsistent Service Description Translation in Time Entries

Symptom

Service descriptions in time entries are not consistently translated when a user is logged in with English language or any other language.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Then go to the Employees view.
  3. Search for the affected Employee and click Edit.
  4. Go to the Employee Times and Add Row.
  5. Maintain Time Type.
  6. Go to the Labor Information tab.
  7. Click Value Help for the Task field.
  8. Search for the Task ID.
  9. Notice that Service Description is not translated to English.

Cause

Such scenario occurs due to the language used for project and task creation.

Resolution

To avoid this issue, we recommend creating the project, tasks, and services in a single, consistent language rather than mixing different languages for projects, tasks, and services.
Currently, this is the expected system behavior.
