3567038 - Error in Submitting Onboardee Details in Manage Pending Hire Stage due to Duplicated Pay Components

Symptom

  • An error occurs when submitting hire in Manage Pending Hire (MPH) from onboarding.
  • The error message states: "There are duplicate records with the same value for the following fields: Sequence Number, Pay Component, User ID".

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Manage Pending Hire

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Manage Pending Hire (MPH).
  2. Select the candidate from onboarding.
  3. Fill all the details.
  4. Submit the hire.
  5. The error message is displayed.

Cause

The issue is caused from a business rule that sets Compensation Info fields during onboarding, causing a duplicate record at Hire submission.

Resolution

To fix the issue, ensure that the rule is not executed during the onboarding process by setting the Rule Context: Onboarding = No in Manage business Configuration.
