Symptom

  • Double clicking in a destination in SM59 leads to an informative popup with message 
    Check SSL certificate for destination <destination_name>
  • A connection test returns following or similar popup error 
    SSL handshake with

    <target address> failed: SSSLERR_SSL_READ

    (-58)#SAPCRYPTO:SSL_read()

    failed##SapSSLSessionStartNB()==SSSLERR_SSL_READ#

    SSL:SSL_read() failed  (101/0x0065)#  => "Own

    certificate (chain) is expired, corrupt or not ye

    valid."#  SSL:SSL_ge
