3567109 - After the Modification of Availability Calendar, the Allocated Project Time is not Updated according to the New Availability Calendar

Symptom

After changing the employee's availability calendar through modifying the work calendar or a temporary change of work schedule, the already allocated project time is not updated automatically according to the new availability calendar.

For example, the availability calendar before modification is following.

After modification,  the availability calendar become following. The project hour will not automatically updated based on the change of availability calendar.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Project Management -> Projects.
  2. Open the issued project.
  3. Go to Team and Staffing -> Team.
  4. Select all employees -> Click Show Availability.

Cause

This is the system designed behavior. The already allocated project hour will not updated due to the change of work schedule.

Resolution

After updating the work calendar or work schedule, it is necessary to manually update the employees' availability calendar from the issued project one by one like followings to avoid inconsistency.

  1. Open the employees' availability calendar from the issued project.
  2. Select the project in the calendar.
  3. Click the "Reset Commitment" button to trigger a re-allocation.
