3567312 - Internal 500 Server Error While Editing the Target Texts in Text Pool

System dumps upon editing the target texts in Text Pool.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Application and User Management workcenter
2. Go to Customer Language Adaptation view
3. Select the Text pool ID
4. Navigate to View Translation
5. Select the Source Text record
6. Select Edit Target text
7. Enter text
8. Select OK
9. Notice the system loads and dumps after a while

This is a known issue in the UI framework due to the limitations of the list view for large lists in conjunction with the column-based filtering function. Hence, it is necessary to go to the “Search Translations tab” and search for the selective target text using the query parameters instead of searching the target text directly in the “View Translations tab” by filtering.

1. Go to Application & User Management Work Center
2. Navigate to Text Pool Administration
3. Select any Text Pool Id &
4. Go to View Translations tab
5. Select Search Translations under Translation Details
6. Navigate to Search Translations tab
7. Select Advanced filter
8. Enter the text in the Target Text field
9. Select Go
10. Select the resulted record
11. Select Edit Target Text and Save
