3567377 - Manager Cycle Validation Error when creating Concurrent Employment to Higher Level Position

• Add Concurrent Employment for employee on the higher-level position of employee's existing position
• Receive Admin Alert regarding Manager Cycle Validation error on Position Follow-Up Activity Transferring Direct Reports

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Position Management

1. Add Concurrent Employee for employee
2. Enter position of Concurrent Employee as higher-level position of employee's current position
3. Receive error in Admin Alerts regarding  Manager Cycle Validation

• No Manager Cycle Validation occurs when creating Concurrent Employment as User ID of the Concurrent Employment is not finally created at this stage
• Transfer of Direct Reports occurs asynchronously and at this point, the Concurrent Employment User ID exists
• This triggers the Manager Cycle Validation in Admin Alerts

• This behaviour is within current system design of the system currently
• SAP SuccessFactors Product Management and Engineering teams are reviewing the possibilities to enhance this functionality to prevent the Manager Cycle Validation error on Transferring Direct Reports process for this scenario
