3567568 - V1208 - Error in converting exchange rate from to - SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

The error Condition: V1208 - Error in converting exchange rate from to pops up during sales order creation with a Z condition type.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to create sales orders app.
2. Add the sales order type OR and go to the sales order creation screen.
3. Add the sold-to-party, product and quantity fields, then click enter.
4. An error appears: V1208 - Error in converting exchange rate from to.

There're 2 possible causes:

• Inactive field in Control section is 'true' since there is a formula/custom routine added for the condition type. 

• There is no condition type with "Condition Class" B in the Pricing Procedure, so the system will not assign any value to the foreign currency. 

According to different root causes, choose different resolutions:

• For the cause 1, there are two ways to fix the issue:
  • Remove/adjust the formula or change the field Inactive settings to avoid the error
  • Check if the exchange rate type is maintained for the sold-to-party under Maintain Business Partner application for Sales and Distribution.
• For the cause 2, to modify the pricing procedure to make ensure there's at least a condition type with "Condition Class" B.
