Symptom

Error: ' We couldn't connect to your Publication system. Possible causes: the SSL certificate isn't trusted, or a network error has occurred.' when scheduling story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Environment

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2024.21.11 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud
  2. Browse File and select a Story based on a tunnel connection
  3. Select the option to Schedule a Publication
  4. Enter a Publication Name, Start Time, Subject, SAP Analytics Cloud Recipients or Non-SAP Analytics Cloud Recipients, Click OK

    Notice the error: 'We couldn't connect to your Publication system. Possible causes: the SSL certificate isn't trusted, or a network error has occurred.'

Cause

Option 'Save this credentials for all users in System' was not enabled while saving the connection.

Resolution

 While saving the Tunnel connection enable the option 'Save this credentials for all users in System'.
