Symptom

Unable to generate output for a business document due to the following error:

Preview not possible- Form template missing for country and language Key.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

In this case we will take an example of a Purchase Order document:

  1. Go to the Purchase Requests and Orders work center
  2. Select Purchase Orders view
  3. Search for the relevant PO ID
  4. Select Preview button to notice the error.

Cause

The form template for the specified Country/Language variant is missing in the Form Template Maintenance view.

Resolution

In order to resolve the issue, follow the below steps to maintain the specified form template:

  1. Go to the Form Template Maintenance view
  2. Select the relevant Form Template Group
  3. Select Upload -> As New Variant
  4. Enter the required Country and Language Code
  5. Select Publish
