Symptom

  • The ABAP system experiences a DBSQL_SQL_ERROR dump.
  • The error message details of in the ABAP dump shows
 "Database returned the SQL code 10807-. Error text: Connection down"

and..

C  SQLCODE    : -10807
C  SQLERRTEXT : Connection down: [89006] System call 'recv' failed, rc=10054:An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
  • The error occurs during the execution of a Bex query connected to a Power BI report with a daily data refresh.
  • During the Bex query the database load history (from transaction dbacockpit) shows service cpu consumption at 95-100%.
