3568224 - Inactive association can be saved in manage data for GO

There is association between division and business unit, the parent is business unit.

The business unit is set as inactive in manage data, then insert new record for division, the record can be saved and no error popping up for business unit is inactive.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to manage data and select division.
2. Locate the division "DEV" and identify the associated business unit "PRODS".
3. Navigate to manage data and select business unit.
4. Locate the business unit "PRODS" (include inactive: yes). The business unit is inactive from 1/1/2025.
5. Return to division and insert a new record with an effective date of 1/2/2025. Make some changes and save. The business unit can be saved into the record without an error. If the business unit is reselected, it is not searchable.

The issue arises when an inactive business unit is associated with a division during the creation of a new division record. Despite the business unit being inactive, the system does not trigger an error, allowing the record to be saved successfully.

Workaround

If the time slice is needed then please make it active. If timeslice is not needed then please remove timeslice record which inactive.
