Symptom
Integration Center search bar do not provide the correct path for a specific field search. The search bar provides few results, but none of them contained the correct path.
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Integration Center.
- Create a new Integration by selecting any Integration type and Starting Entity.
- Click on button "Add" and then "Add Field"
- Attempt to search an specific field that demands a navigation to another entity.
- Observe that the search bar results do not include the correct path for the field you are looking for.
Cause
Resolution
When searching for a field in the Integration Center, it's important to understand that the tool provides possible variables/paths for that field, but it may not always include the exact path you are looking for. The tool does not show all possible paths to get the field you are looking for, as there might be hundreds or thousands of paths/navigations.
You might also notice that most of the options provided by the search box come blank due to the behavior called One-To-Many, which is explained in KBA 3087941 - One-to-many behavior in Integration Center.
