3568714 - Group Reporting Workflow - Ignoring Responsibility Definition Values (Consolidation units)for Recipient Team

Symptom

In the Group Reporting Workflow for Post Group Journal Entries, when a Recipient is defined as a "Team" rather than a "Role", the workflow approval does not check the Responsibility Definition values defined for that "Team".

The workflow ignores the Responsibility Definitions assignment in that team and sends the workflow to team members as workflow approver.

This issue occurs in the context of posting a Group reporting journal where the Group reporting workflow (F6164) is defined.

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Define a Recipient as a "Team" in the Group Reporting Workflow (F6164).
  2. Post a Group reporting journal.
  3. Observe that the workflow approval does not check the Responsibility Definition values defined for that "Team".

Cause

The issue arises due to the system not checking the Responsibility Definition values when the Recipient is defined as a "Team" in the Group Reporting Workflow.

Resolution

  1. Define the consolidation unit in Manage Workflow For Group journal entry -> Start Conditions.
  2. Leave the part in Responsibility Definitions blank.
