3569132 - Inaccurate Calculation of "Actual Scrap" in "Yield and Scrap" Report

Symptom

  • The key figure "Actual Scrap" in the report "Yield and Scrap" is displaying decimal numbers, which is unexpected.
  • The system is display a Quantity greater than expected.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Production Control work center.
  2. Go to the Reports view.
  3. Find and open the Report: Yield and Scrap.
  4. Enter the relevant Production End Date.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Check the related Production Orders, you observe the Actual Scrap is showing Decimals respectively.

Cause

The issue arises from the calculation of the "Actual Scrap" and "Actual Scrap Percentage".

The "Actual Scrap" is calculated based on the formula: (((Yield Quantity/(100-Actual Scrap Percentage))x100)-Yield Quantity), and the "Actual Scrap Percentage" is calculated as per the formula: (([Actual Scrap] / ([Yield Quantity] + [Actual Scrap])) * 100). 

Resolution

The value maintained are correctly calculated based on the yield and the Actual Scrap Percentage.

System is working as designed.
