3569236 - The dbcc checkstorage for very large database is not completing with COMPILING status - SAP ASE

The dbcc checkstorage command for a very large database is not completing.
When checking the cmd field using sp_who, it shows as COMPILING.
Running dbcc stacktrace against the spid shows mem_freepages freeing memory for the procedure cache.
