Symptom
During the import, an error message is received stating "The user has been purged. To import data for this user, you need to reactivate this user using Basic Import” if the user ID is incorrect with leading 0's.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Compensation Information
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Import Employee data.
- Download template of any entity.
- Fill the user ID with leading "0" and other details.
- Validate/import the file -> The error occurs: The user has been purged. To import data for this user, you need to reactivate this user using Basic Import.
Resolution
The error is misleading, here when no userID exists with ID that have leading 0. The fix for this error is being planned to be deployed on 1H 2025 release (b2505) which will have a better and accurate error message. Please watch this KBA for further updates.
