Symptom
You are facing an issue when trying to edit/delete a time off request, you receive the following error > "You cannot edit this employee time anymore because it contains references to a closed time account
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors > Employee Central - Time Off > Absences
Reproducing the Issue
1. When you try to open the affected time account, you receive the following error message > "Reference to Employee Time missing in Time Account Detail for Time Account *******".
2. You have then tried to follow the resolution outlined in KBA 2744433 - 'Error While Trying to Save Changes to Time Account' but realise the affected employee time record has no time calendar entries and so you cannot follow the resolution steps fully.
Resolution
1. Go to Manage Data > Search for Time Account > Paste the external code of the relevant time account where the affected absence appears. > Click on Take Action -> Make Correction > Set the 'Closed' field to 'No'. Don't click save yet.
2. Delete the *affected* Employee Time booking(s) that appear in the time account
3. Then Click Save
4. Now you should be able to delete the Employee Time record itself in Manage Data.
