3569640 - Short texts of the production version proposals need to be maintained one by one manually in Process Production Versions app

In the Process Production Versions app, when accepting the proposals to create production versions for multiple materials, get the error message that the short text is required for the production version. Then the short text has to be maintained in the proposals manually one by one, which is inefficient and time-consuming.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Process Production Versions app.
2. Try to accept the proposals to create production versions for multiple materials.
3. Observe that the short texts of the production versions have to be entered manually one by one.

This error happens because the Routing or BOM description is not maintained.

In SSCUI 105965 - Define Rules for Production Version Proposals, it is defined where the short text for the production version proposal is copied, either from the Routing description or from the BOM description. If there is no description maintained in the Routing or BOM, there is no content to be copied. Then the error will happen.

Check the configuration in the SSCUI and maintain the description of the Routing or BOM accordingly.
