Symptom
In Customer Demand, there is a discrepancy between the "Requested Execution Start Date" and "Requested Delivery Date" fields.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Supply Planning work center.
- Access the Customer Demand view.
- Search for Customer Demand ID ABC. (ABC means Customer Demand ID)
- Observe that the "Requested Execution Start Date" and "Requested Delivery Date" fields display different dates.
Cause
The cause of the issue was due to the system's logic in determining the "Requested Execution Start Date". If the shipment start date falls on a non-working day up to 23:59:59, the execution start date is taken as the previous date.
Resolution
The sales order DEF (DEF means Sales Order ID) requested delivery date is DD.MM.YYYY XX:XX UTC. so, the system considers the actual delivery will happen the day before. If the shipment start date is falling on a non-working day up to 23:59:59, the execution start date is taken as the previous date. That is the shipment start date was on DD.MM.YYYY.
Customer demand requested schedule line: execution start date = delivery date - resource time (i.e., transport time) - goods issue process time.
If transport time is zero (0) days and goods issue process time is 00:00:00 so execution start date and delivered on same date.
