3569962 - SMTP Configuration Error: 'Failed to Test Email Configuration'

Symptom

  • At 'Messages' > 'Emails' > 'Email Configuration' a new SMTP email configuration was created in SAP Field Service Management. When testing the new configuration, the system returns a generic error message:

    "Failed to test email configuration [id = xxx]"

  • The error does not provide a meaningful description of the underlying cause.

  • The test email is not generated or delivered.
