Receiving error 'FTE is a required field and cannot be blank.' in Employee Central Quick Action Change Location.

1. On Employee Profile
2. Click on Take Action button
3. Click on Change Location
4. Select a new location from the dropdown
5. Save
6. Error "FTE is a required field and cannot be blank."

Standard calculation to calculate the FTE field is not being used.

If the standard logic to calculate the FTE field is not being used and the field FTE is not "on the screen"/visible while performing any changes the system sets the FTE value back to null.

To resolve the issue, add an OnSave rule to calculate the FTE field or use the hardcoded standard calculation logic for FTE as per Guide/Preventive Action: Calculating FTE | SAP Help Portal
