Symptom
- When an employee requests a vacation period that includes a holiday, the 'Taken' days displayed in the Absence tab are ''incorrect''
- The 'Taken' days are displayed correctly for some users, but not for the employee who made the request.
''Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
- Login as an employee.
- Select the Time Type for a vacation request that includes a holiday period.
- Submit the request.
- As some users, the 'Taken' field displays the correct amount of days.
- However, if you proxy as the employee and check the Time Off schedule, the 'Taken' field shows an incorrect number of days.
Cause
The issue is caused by a configuration issue in the Absence Counting Configuration object. The employee user does not have access to this object, but the admin user does, leading to the discrepancy in the 'Taken' days displayed.
Resolution
Provide the employee access to the Absence Counting Configuration object, so the 'Taken' days will displayed correctly for the user.
