3571148 - Unable to Delete Released WBS Elements in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Duplicate WBS elements created in the Project Control - Enterprise Projects app cannot not be deleted due to their 'Released' processing status, and continue to appear in searches and the F4 Value help function.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access the Project Control app.
2. Navigate to the specific project.
3. Open the Project Planning app.
4. Attempt to delete the released WBS element.

• WBS elements cannot be deleted if costs have already been planned for them.
• In projects with revenue, a WBS element cannot be deleted if revenue has been planned, a settlement rule has been maintained, or a sales order item has been assigned to it.
• To delete a WBS element, the WBS element itself and all the WBS elements in its subtree must have the processing status 'Created'.

1. Identify the WBS elements that need to be deleted.
2. Change the status of these WBS elements to 'Locked' or 'Completed' to prevent them from being used.
