3571375 - Discrepancy in Data Inspector > Table_EMP_JOB_INFO_T: Effective Start Date vs. Effective as of Date in Job Information Portlet

The Data Inspector > Table_EMP_JOB_INFO_T is showing a different date for the "Effective Start Date" compared to the "Effective as of" date in the Job Information portlet.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to: Data Inspector
2. Navigate to Table_EMP_JOB_INFO_T
3. Filter an user
4. Observe the Effective Start Date

The 'Effective Start Date' is stored in the database in UTC. When you view this in the Data Inspector > Table_EMP_JOB_INFO_T, it will be displayed according to the timezone of your computer.

Here's an example to illustrate this:

- In the Job Information section, the 'Effective as of' date is: 02/13/2025
- On a user's computer in Brazil (UTC-3), this date will appear as: 02/12/2025 21:00
- On a user's computer in Germany (UTC+1), this date will appear as: 02/13/2025 1:00

It's important to note that the Data Inspector is an internal tool. If you export the data through Reporting or Integration Center, the date will appear the same as you see in the People Profile > Job Information portlet.
